About KBRC

Kehloor Biosciences and Research Center was founded by young innovators passionate about science and technology. Our mission is to enhance agricultural productivity, promote organic farming, and uplift rural communities in Himachal Pradesh. Leveraging the state's rich biodiversity, we utilize biotechnology and microbiology to develop biofertilizers and other valuable products, fostering economic growth in rural areas. Our R&D cell is dedicated to creating novel technologies for sustainable development.

Aim and Objectives

KBRC is dedicated to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and organic farming to preserve soil fertility. By harnessing soil-friendly microbes, we aim to develop healthy crops and economically viable cash crops. We also strive to bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering research in biotechnology and microbiology, driving innovation for a sustainable future.

Co-founders

Dr. Amit Kumar (PhD Microbiology, PGDBA)

Dr. Amit Kumar is a dynamic researcher and educator with a PhD in Microbiology from Shoolini University, Solan, and a PGDBA from GJUS&T Hisar. His career began at Nestle India Ltd, followed by teaching roles at SILB and Shoolini University. He has guided over 30 postgraduate students, published 17 research papers, and holds one patent. A recipient of the Young Scientist Award, he conducted postdoctoral research at DRDO's Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore. His expertise spans medical microbiology, soil and environmental microbiology, and food microbiology.

Dr. Amit Kumar

Dr. Vikesh Kumar Bhatia (PhD Microbiology)

Dr. Vikesh Bhatia is an accomplished researcher with a PhD in Microbiology from Shoolini University, Solan. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Himanchal Dental College, Sundernagar, Mandi, and Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. With experience as a research and development manager in the biofertilizer industry, he has published numerous research papers in reputed journals. His expertise lies in medical mycology and environmental microbiology.
